Would You Like to Hold the Baby? | by Joyce Poley; Frank Henning
Would You Like to Hold the Baby is a Christmas Pageant that revisits the timeless story of Mary and Joseph, the Kings and the Shepherds, with the addition of a new character - a young stable girl. As Mary invites the girl to hold her Baby, so we are invited to embrace the deepest meaning Christmas holds for each one of us.
This is a multi-generational pageant--there are parts for people of all ages--either as a cast character or singer in the choir (Joyful Noise). There is only one speaking part--the Narrator. Over 20 parts are available: animals, innkeepers, kings, and shepherds and Mary and Joseph. There are no lines to be learned and only one rehearsal; costumes are used.. The music is wonderful too, easy to sing and interspersed with favorite carols.
If your are interested in your child participating, sign up early! Roles fill fast in this treasured event.
